I would agree with the previous comments. I looked at a 2003 Toyota Tarago. It seemed quite decent. Then I looked at the history. They had been so kind as to leave the previous maintenance record. This told a bad story. In particular, the last service by the previous owner noted that the front brakes and front tyres were due for replacing. I checked them over... they were close to the wear limits. Same for the rear tyres, and one side was bald on the side. As I about to leave on the test drive, I mentioned to the salesagent that I though it was due for 4 new tyres. Tried to convince me that the majority were ok and that the front tyres were even new!! I got into a little argument with the salesagent and then decided it wasn't worth it. I walked out and I will never go back to this dealer again.
It was such a shame that I changed my mind like that after they had to spend 15 minutes making room to get the car out. Not!!!
I am the owner of Stirling Auto Centre and am apalled at the comments made by you. I did not nor have i ever owned the vehicle you talk about. I have not owned a Toyota Tarago for over two years. If you had taken time to see that there are two businesses located on the one property you would have realised that my yard is located on the Burton Street side and not the front of the property where the Tarago was displayed. My yard is clearly signwritten and my cars are all positioned at the side of the property. After 7 years in business and more than 5000 vehicles sold i see only two complaints on this website, yours which has nothing at all to do with me or my cars and one other that i will get to. I insist that you post an apology.
Since both my comments for Carousel Motor Company and Stirling Autos were made 83 days ago and yet both companies responded on the same day, less than one hour apart, I find it very strange!!! I'd say guilty by association.
This dealership is by far the seediest I have ever come across. While we had been looking for used cars for a while, we came across a used Daewoo that had done under 100,000k, quite new 2000 model which looked in good nick and was under $3,000!
