The One Day Course is fun and informative. Areas covered during the day will include:

Information regarding healthy lifestyles during your pregnancy.
Understanding tests and procedures that will occur during your pregnancy.
Birthing - in depth analysis of the 3 stages of labour.
Providing education and knowledge to the support person so that they can help and support you during labour and care for the new born baby.
Learning positions of labour - to reduce pain and enhance the labour progress.
Natural and medical options for pain relief.
Understanding early signs of labour and when the right time to come to the hospital is.
Unexpected outcomes and pathways of labour.
What to expect during your stay at the hospital, including new born baby care and breastfeeding.
Support networks for parenthood.
Awareness of your baby's behaviour.

The day will also include videos, dvds, card games and displays.
In addition - morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided. Light refreshments will be available all day. If you have any special dietary requirements, eg: vegetarian, please inform us so we can cater to your personal needs.

We would suggest that women wear comfortable clothing, eg: shorts or pants as we will be doing some gentle exercises and experimenting with different positions of labour. We would also like you to bring two pillows or cushions with you.

The total cost per couple is $200 (one person is $120) which includes an information package, food and drinks on the day. If additional support person attends, eg mother, the total cost is $250.

To secure your position, full payment must be received before course date or your place may not be saved.
