Strand Hotel

This is a great pub located near the Riverlink shopping centre in Ipswich. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and even gave me a taste of one of their beers so I could decide whether I wanted a pint or not (which is something not many pubs do, even if you indicate that you have never had it before). I ended up having the steak which was cooked to perfection, and my brother loved the sausages (or should I say bangers and mash). They have a take-away coffee shop out the front for the morning crowd who are headed to work, and really nice restaurant out the back, which is great for groups. They also have a good selection of beers on tap, as well as a number of other craft beers available. My recommendation is to simply skip the food hall at Riverlink, cross the road, and come and have a meal here. You won't regret it.
