The Strawberry Farm has operated for well over 20 years and is well known to locals and tourists alike. Old-fashioned service and country charm see people relaxing at this stop for hours.
Situated conveniently next to the M1 Motorway midway between Brisbane and Gold Coast it proves to be a popular stop for motorists with plenty of parking and amenities available.
Simply take Exit 49 (Pimpama-Jacobs Well Rd) and follow the signs.

I have such fond memories of the strawberry farm when I was a child so I thought I would take a stroll down memory lane. Boy was I disappointed! It would seem a bulldozer drove down the lane and ripped it apart. Though I am not going to lie the ice cream is as delicious as I remember it being the rest was an absolute mess. Delapadated buildings, dirty tables and a petting zoo with very few animals and the remaining ones look in poor condition or are beyond aggressive. As for any food apart from the strawberry ice cream? Unless you like deep fried hot box food, I would give it a miss.
The Strawberry Farm may be old and a bit tired but its someone's business. They battle hard with an old fashioned business model of a highway rest spot for travelers to the Gold Coast. Urban crawl and the M1 may have taken their toll but it is a beloved institution for our family. We adore the "Pixar- Radiator Springs" feel about it and relish a relaxed stop for an ice-cream and a chat as I tell my kids about the glory days of Bullens African Lion Safari, the Flying Saucer Servo and other lost relics of Highway 1 from my youth. Enjoy the simple things in life folks before they're gone for good and replaced by plastic food of McDonalds. Long may they prosper.
This used to be a great place to get fresh strawberries, have some quality food and take the kids to see a variety of animals, including camels, cows, llamas, sheep, pigs, ducks, chickens, etc.
Now there's some strawberries that come from elsewhere, some heated frozen pies and a donkey that bites. It's really, really depressing.
Due to the construction of the M1 we haven't had picking for many years but do sell locally procured strawberries.
FYI we dont have a donkey.
After driving out of our way to go and visit the farm what a disappointing suprise...
No strawberries in sight - not even at the shop. No strawberry products to be bought and their strawberry icecream is bought from them not even made fresh.
The name of this cafe needs to be changed and the details on the internet updated. Waste of time!
A quick search and you'll find we havent had picking for many years (due to the construction of the M1) and have never stated or ever made our ice-cream. You can find home made strawberry jam, homemade strawberry soap and other little strawberry delights.
