Unprofessional and overcharged. I had a very strong case and the police emailed my lawyer that they would withdraw my case at 5:00 PM one day before the hearing. However, my lawyer did not inform me until the next day, and they did not explain that the withdrawal had a condition. If I had known about the condition, I would not have accepted the withdrawal offer from the police.
Streeton charged me in advance for all of my final preparation and appearance fees. When my case was withdrawn, they did not refund some of the cost of court appearance fees. Instead, they issued me a bill with all fees charged to preparation fees. Based on my experience, I recommend that you always ask your lawyer to break down the estimated cost fee item by item.
