I've shopped at several Subways around Adelaide and found the Glenelg store to be excessively skimpy on fillings to the point of comedic. Today I bought a foot long Veggie Delight and it seemed like 90% bread, 10% filling. In fact, over the years I've noticed all Subway outlets becoming progressively skimpier with their fillings while the prices rise.
I'm quite health conscious so Subway is pretty much the only take-away I ever buy, and only if I'm in a hurry, but the pathetic excuse for a sandwhich I bought today from the Glenelg store was the last straw. The filling was enough to feed three caterpillars. If I'm paying ten plus dollars for a veggie sandwhich I want sufficient filling. I won't be going to the Glenelg store again.
I'm a Brighton local but i work in Glenelg and i always make the effort to come into the Glenelg store because the staff are always friendly and professional. I must note that the store is always clean and the salads look fresh compared to other Subways I've visited.
