Sugo Italian

Booked a table for Mother's Day was told we had 90 minutes to have our meal...no problem there. Ordered a starter of beet root salad which consisted of half a dozen beets on a saucer..the bread and dips my partner ordered well...nearly chipped a tooth on the bread and the dip tasted like baby food...speaking of babies...80 minutes later no main ..we had our toddler with us who at this stage was getting very tired and narky ..asked 2 Wait staff when the food might be coming to which was told they didn't know as there was a backlog in the kitchen. Long story short our toddler got very upset as one would expect from a child waiting about for nearly an hour & a half as we were from trying to entertain him. Decided to leave as it was just getting too stressful. Good pasta, nice service, good chocolate cake.

Their service is magnificent and refreshing in this area. Our coffees arrived only moments after ordering and the place was packed!! Consistently delicious food, and great knowledge of wine by the staff.

Antipasto Heaven. Warm and intimate atmosphere. Friendly service. Tasty, fresh food. Been here a couple of times to catch up with a girlfriend and we enjoy ourselves immensely. Even find ourselves moaning over the food - has been slightly embarrassing (for others). Easy to get caught up in the flavours, but thats what food is about hey. Treat yourself.

I love Sugo! Being italian myself, it's always difficult trying to find a place that is close to the homestyle cooking I'm used to. While I'm never going to find the same as I have at home, it doesn't mean occasionally I find something equally as good, and Sugo is definitely one of those places.

With an extensive selection of pastas, risottos and heartier main meals, there is something to suit everyone. They also specialise in a range of antipastos which are great for a starter or fantastic if you're just meeting for drinks.

Parking isn't a hassle as the restaurant backs onto a free carpark. The service is great and the premises large, but still ensure you make a booking: Sugo is busy every night of the week!

Also, a fantastic date option romantic lighting and an outdoor eating area both at the front and side of the restaurant. Favourite: the bolognaise pappadalle but you cant go wrong with anything here!
