Sun Sun Restaurant

First visit to Sun Sun last night for an impromptu dinner with the other half after reading positive reviews. The owner was delightful and welcoming although the person who took our order was a bit stand offish. She actually came over and stood at our table silently, to which we assumed was to take our orders!
We ordred the mixed entree to start, followed by sizzling Chinese beef, salt and pepper calamari and special fried rice. Mixed entree was pretty good, no too oily, I couldn't complain there. Sizzling beef was quite nice with lots of tender beef - I prefer the beef sliced evenly, but there were some big chunks mixed in with thin slices so it wasn't cooked consistently. For me, the calamari was a let down, it smelled a bit fishy, and there was way too much salt. Husband thought it was okay and he ate most of it! Fried rice was also pretty good, but not seasoned enough for my liking - it needed a good splash of soy sauce. ...read more
