The 180 acre property includes two swamps, coastal hills, valleys and flats which are being restored back to nature by planting of thousands of native trees and shrubs. Two permanent waterholes have been dug for the use of native animals and as proud members of Land for Wildlife all native creatures are protected. Kilometres of walking trails allow guests to experience this country retreat with ocean views from the hilltops, kangaroos, echidnas, turtles, bats etc and beautiful native birds abounding. Nelson is located in the SW corner of Victoria on the mouth of the Glenelg River on the last stretch of the Great Ocean Road and is halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide share a holiday with friends/families from both cities. The place is very run down was very smelly and musty when we arrived we had to clean everything before we used it beds were dirty all dishes had to be washed before we could use them and very expensive for what you get, the local tourist info centre at nelson does not recommend it at all as we found out later
