Having to travel to Sunbury later this week, I rang to make a booking this morning at 8.05am on the no listed for Sunbury Moter Inn. The phone rang out so I rang back app 2 mins later. The management staff answered the phone in a very rude tone and told me to ring back after 9.00am. I then rang the no listed for Sunbury Motor Inn Motel (a different no). The phone was answered by the same person and this person was alot ruder than before. They once again told me to ring back after 9.00am and then they hung up on me. I was stunned by how rude the staff was when I was trying to give them my business.
I did not bother to ring back and took my business to another establishment in Sunbury with much nicer people to deal with.
We stayed at this Motel earlier this week, after almost being put off by the negative reports here. The older reviews really sounded bad but then when we found a few newer ones which were better we decided to give it a try. I really don't know what some people expect !! There was absolutely nothing to complain about. We were in a 2 bedroom set up . Everything was clean, beds very comfortable and traffic noise was minimal. Let me tell you.. We have stayed in MUCH worse than this one. Really good value for money.We would not hesitate to stay there again if needing accommodation in the area.
I actually don't live in Australia, but I traveled there to visit friends. I stayed at this motel and wasn't as disappointed as other seemed to have been. I traveled there during Dec of 2010 and stayed for about a month. It wasn't anything fancy, but it was very nice for a standard motel. I didn't go and inspect the entire room, but whatever I did in fact use, was perfect. My bed was made and clean, restroom was clean, and I had everything I needed. At some point I need to get more sugar from the front desk, but that wasn't a hastle. I had booked my room about two months in advance and got to the motel around noon on the day of my arrival. I'm not too sure what rooms others were staying in, but I had a rather normal experience. Good luck to anyone else staying there :)
Have stayed here on many occasions over the years (work & personal) and have never had a problem. Rooms are always clean and if i did have a problem all i had to do was ask the staff and they always did their best to accomodate me. Always happy to return.
Other reviewers must have been looking for 5 star accomodation for half the price.
After a 8 hour drive to Melbourne we were looking for a place to stay when we came across the sunbury motor inn we had heard about the previous bad reviews but thought surely they had improved so we booked in and the first thing i wanted was a cup of tea so i went to the fridge looking for milk and there was one tiny container of milk that had already been opened gross i thought then later that night i accidentally bumped the bed and underneath there was several pieces of an uneaten sandwhich that weren't from us and had obviously been there for a while and i also went to put my phone in the bedside draw only to find a chocolate milk stain all through the draw luckily the sheets were clean so i went to sleep hoping to check out straight away the next morning when we woke up my daughter decided to watch some foxtel well there so called foxtel was 3 channels one which didn't even ...read more
Have to say these reviews are just ridiculous. If the rooms were half as bad as you say then how are they still in buisness?
I have stayed here at least twice a year for years now and have never had a problem, especially since the new managment took over. Rooms are always clean and if you need anything all you have to do is ask and the staff will do their best to accomodate you. It's not 5 star but it's still good value for money.
