The reason why Sunny Nguyen is important is that it is just about the only place in Footscray you can get anything to eat after midnight, at least, anywhere near the station. If you wanna go up as far as the intersection of Ballarat Rd and Gordon Sts, there is an African cafe that stays open pretty late for the taxi drivers and a pizza parlour that stays open pretty late too, presumably for people that have just waited five hours in Emergency at The Western Hospital. Pretty much everything else closes by nine, apart from a couple of Chinese Restaurants that close at 10, and an Italian place that closes at about 11, all in Barkly Street.
