Would strongly recommend not using this mechanic. We have had problems with them a few times now. We had our car booked in the morning and were told it would only take a few hours. Well we didn't get it till the next day. We told them we couldn't be without the car and the job was a simple one as nothing major was wrong. The boss wasn't in the day we took it in to get fixed after constantly having to ring them to see when it would be ready he told us there was an issue removing one of he parts so we decided to go down and see what was happening and why it wasn't done only to find that the boy wasn't even working on our car! Instead he had a few of his mates around having a good old time and not doing his job at all once he saw me however he decided to do it and what do you know once I was standing there watching he amazingly got the part off!! When I told the boss the following day he didn't give a care in the world about what his staff mate was doing and ...read more
I would try another mechanic. I last visited them and was told that I will be needing new front brake pads shortly. Having another mechanic check it out I was shocked to find that my brake pads were no where near replacing and had 30,000 left on them. They told me I needed new wheel cylinders and rear shoes but they were also not in need of repair.
I've always used them for about 7 years now, never had an issue. sometimes not letting things be worn to the point of not working is more of a safety thing rather then a "must" I personally would be happy they didn't mess things like some previous mechanics have with my cars. Personally I'd rather replace things before they break or wear to the point they are a hazard and keep the car safe. Sounds like they were doing their job...
