Sunrise Pools

A one generation business that is failing - finished our pool with a judgment at the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal to pay us $8,000. Our leaking pool will be rectified by another builder. The company stated that “our pool was the pool where everything that could go wrong, did got wrong”. In their “heyday” they were probably a great company but today the succession plan is not tenable. This is largely due to the arrogance of the company. The old school way of dealing with customers (ie. that customers don’t matter) does not work in today’s world. Customers are more educated and have access to numerous resources about pools. They want to be taken on the journey and not treated like fools. After 45 years our pool required renovation within a 53 villa and townhouse strata complex.

From the day we received the quote from Sunrise Pools Australia Pty Ltd I knew we were in good hands. The quote was extensive and covered all aspects of the renovation and we had no financial surprises on completion.

We are all extremely happy with the result and very gratefull to all the staff at Sunrise for the patience, professionalism and tradesmanship afforded us during this process.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Sunrise Pools, if required, in the future.

If you choose to go with Sunrise Pools, which I do not recommend, I would suggest reading your contract extremely carefully, and try to pin them down to a schedule. The hole for our pool was dug, then left for 3 months because Sunrise could not secure steel work contractors for the next step. During this time the dirt walls collapsed in, without any help from inclement weather but simply because they were left for so long. Then we were charged to rectify the mess. This was just the beginning. There were large gaps of time and fine weather where we did not see a Sunrise person to work on our pool, and we could not get anyone to return our phone calls or emails. We had numerous Foremen, then none. The filter system, heater and swim jets had to be repaired or replaced within weeks of handover. I was a bit nervous about getting a pool (knowing that there are ALWAYS problems) but Peter and Janinie were great. No surprises, even when there were delays and variations they gave me options and explained them in laymen's terms.
