Bridging the gap between independence, care services and affordability for older Australians, Sunrise Supported Living offer self-contained, independent living units for seniors in a secure and active community, with care and support services available if and when needed. Allowing people to choose their own care in a place and at a time that's convenient and affordable, allowing residents to remain in charge; they retain their total independence, but have support on hand when they need it. When a partner of a couple needs a higher level of care, usually the more mobile partner is forced to become a carer, and in doing so will lose some of their own independence and quality of life as a result. Otherwise, they may be forced to live apart if one partner needs nursing home care. Providing peace of mind for residents and their families resolves these issues, allowing couples to stay together without one being the major carer, even when the other partner needs a higher level of care and the more mobile partner can still have a full and active life. Sunrise Supported Living allows care and support services to be increased as needs increase, without the costly exercise of having to move into a higher level care facility. Care and support services are available 24/7, but only paid for if and as needed in a user-pays system, so you never pay for services you don't need. Residents who require care or support can have it delivered in the privacy of their own home, at a time that is convenient to them and allows them to retain their dignity.
