Shop is huge, Simply fresh has a broad range of fruits and vegetables, I particularly like their tropical fruits and some vegetables usually can only be found in Asian groceries. such as snake bean, Italian flat bean, bitter melon, lotus root, green papaya, dragon fruit and custard apple etc.
I was just here again a few days ago to pick up a number of produce. They often have large crates displayed directly outside from bulk onion bags, oranges, peaches. The quality of what you get that are generally displayed outside are not always in the best condition hence the cheaper price, while the fruits within the store are of a different standard and the prices are often double to triple. The stock a number of imported products from the middle east, there are also freshly baked bread stocked at the back. A variety of nuts and banana bread usually found at the cashier. Dont really expect much here in terms of customer service, its more of less search for what youre looking for on your own, the girls at the checkout are really efficient. I come here to pick up a variety of fruits due to the low cost oppose to the big supermarket chains.
Huge grocery store, they use to be the biggest in the Sunshine area until Big Fields Grocery stores had opened up at the Plaza side. They have all fruits in crates presented on the walk side, and others all on stands. Ive found most fruits that are sold outside much cheaper than the ones inside and so is the quality. The quality isnt as great, and you may be able to get a few days out of it. Inside they sell all sorts of dried nuts, Turkish/Lebanese bread, eggs, lots of imported Mediterranean goods and of course the fruits are so much better in quality and of course the price is much higher. At the cash register, they sell one of the best banana loaf bread Ive eaten. Its find its the same quality bread that youll probably find at most caf which would charge you like $4+ for a single slice, here you could pick up a large loaf for $8. Staffs are quick and efficient. The guys at the front of the shop are loud, yelling out the discounted price on the groceries. A great place to shop if ...read more
