Sunshine Hot Water

Booked a 7.30-8.30am appointment to have a hot water system removed from our roof so we could repair rusted roof sheets underneath. At 8.50am I called to advise no tradesperson had shown up and I had to leave at 9.30am and wouldn't be able to be contacted until 11am. My partner was to return to the house at 10am but was delayed. Tradies turned up and left a voice message at 10.07am that they were here but no one was home. My partner arrived home at 10.35am, to find no tradie and the hot water system still sitting on the roof. He called the main office, the lady was abrupt and mentioned that no one was home when the tradie turned up. At 11.23, I returned the tradies call and explained that regardless of whether the system needed servicing or replacing, it had to come off for the roof repairs. They are rude and abusive . They will not return your phone calls. The product is faulty and has leaked for ages water running from the overflow constantly, Sunshine hot water will not come and have a look, they refer you Dux the manufacturer. try finding Dux phone number online impossible.

Very disappointed in Sunshine Hot Water. They came and installed our new Stiebel Eltron hot water system 2 years ago. The after sales service has been terrible. At one stage when I asked if I could speak with the plumber who came out to supposedly replace a part on our hot water system to fix a leak (but seems to have only caused further issues) I was told he couldn't be disturbed and all other technicians were 'out of the country'! Thankfully Stiebel Eltron have been able to help us out directly but I would suggest that they find another business to install there systems.

After attempting to talk to a number of plumbers asking about a new hot water system, none of them could call back within a few days, or call back at all (Once called up 2 weeks after the unit was installed).



I called up sunshine hot water after talking to the Steibel Eltron distributors and they were able to install it that weekend. They were fast and professional. I did have a complex requirement that needed some extra plumbing and electrical work and there was some confusion over that, but it was sorted out with one phone call. I was handed all the paperwork to get the rebates with their sections filled out with no problems.



BTW, don't go for their DUX systems. They are all cheaply made. Go for the German quality systems like the Steibel Eltron.
