When checking in on my first night I was absolutely appalled to find that not only was there no reception staff to check in with but I had not even been left a key or contact number, as management stated they would do for me when I checked in late.
10 other guests also arrived that night and encountered the same issue and we all were forced to sit outside in the carpark for an hour until they finally arrived.
During my stay I also came across other guests encountering the same ordeal night after night.
This was extremely unprofessional and both myself and the other guests left stranded have all vowed we shall never stay here again and will also encourage others to do the same.
I checked in late also but found there was infact an after hours notice clearly stating 2 contact numbers. Unless you called contacted them as part of theie procedure, how would they then know you were there to check in?
I found it to be quite easy to check in, hassle free.
After my experience I made a complaint with www.wotif.com and the Gold Coast Beauru of Tourism who both vowed to speak to management in regards to this issue. Obviously they have, and the management of suntower have upped their game as I can tell you there was no contact number left for us and my late check in had been arranged prior to our arrival so this is great to hear.
