Sushi Hotaru at Bathurst St has all the bells and whistles of the first store back at The Galeries but there are some things that seem to be missing. The shop appears to be a little bit smaller in size, with the bright lighting seems to clash with the black ambience of the store and just dont seem to come together like on their other shop.
However, the place seems to be a lot quieter with no queues, so that is definitely a plus. The downside of it though, is that the sushi turnover might not be that quick but they are still fresh and delicious. Also, you can now order straight from your table using a tablet in front of your table so you dont need to looks for available staff to order.
Overall, I am very happy with the opening of their second store and with the overall experience. It would be so much better though if they could make the atmosphere more lively and colourful.
