This sushi restaurant has recently changed names but the owner remains the same, as does the quality of the food and service. I have enjoyed every visit here and I have to say that their wagyu beef is one of the tastiest dishes I have had at any restaurant.
The positives -
Food is always fresh as they have such a high volume of people coming through.
Service is perfect, they top up water glasses frequently with out the need to ask and always say hello and good bye when you come and go.
Some on the nicest sushi plates you will come across in at least sydney. (Possibly Australia)
Only negative is the space is very small and it is too hard to go if you have a baby traveling in a pram.
Are these reviewers serious? This Sushi Train isn't the best Sushi in Chatswood let alone Sydney.
It may be "fast" based upon the food being ready when you walk in, but one just has to walk 5 mins in any other direction and they will come across better Sushi Trains and Japanese Restaurants.
Specifically the food is "old" and has been on the train for ages. They don't have much variety and though they may be a little cheaper than other places, pay the extra 50c or $1 a plate and go elsewhere.
Oh c'mon Parge this place is great. You have to go when it is crowded, late lunch or dinner at 600-630pm. Wide variety and it comes out right in front of you, FRESH from kitchen and centre sushi dugout.
Yeah some food is old but hey, don't grab that stufft. Watch and learn how the place operates. Fish Nitsuke is grand and the soft shell crab hand roll divine. Scallop and scampi exquisite. Ask for fresh ginger and wasabi you will enjoy.
OK it's not the best but you can always have the best sometime.
