I have never accounted such incredibly unethical and poor service. My review relates to my mother's vehicle and the incredible rip-off at the hands of Suttons. She was told she would get a 2 year extended warranty is she serviced her car for 5 years with Suttons. This was done but the extended warrant covers nothing. Suttons has refused to cover a component governing airbag functionality on the basis that it is not a "mechanical" issue and wants $430 to replace this part.
This is off the back of her last service where she was told she needed to replace brake pads and brake discs and pay for a new battery (some $1,000 plus). We declined and 6 months later, the brakes continue to be fine and there've been no power/battery issues. It is ripping people off. Is there a zero score for service ? This is a riduculous service centre. I had my Holden Captiva for service as part of the extending warranty service and until after 3 working days I still dont have my car and worst is nobody seemed care updating. The last call I have is that they are chargingb me $1,750 for additional service and someone will call me back to give me breakdown of this. I literally have attempted close to 10 calls and just get get any update at all. Forget about calling their trunk line and getting some update from their Holden Service. The phones just dont work and trhey will just transfer you to one phone to another just ending up in a mkesage bank which seems nobody bothers to check the messages and return the call. ...read more
APPALLING. My 3 year old Fiat 500, ie 6 months out of warranty, but serviced to requirements and at only 37,000km has suffered MAJOR FAILURE collapsed rear shock absorber and new automatic transmission required. Fiat is happy to replace the defective parts but Suttons WILL NOT DO REPAIR WITHOUT $3920 LABOUR COSTS PAID BY ME despite the Australian consumer law requiring them to do so. They say "take us to the administrative affairs tribunal" and deal with the weeks and weeks of delay.
It seems they do not care about treating customers according to the law, let alone respectfully. Surely there are more reputable dealerships in your area!
Story of NOT FIXING THE CAR
I had a Dodge-Nitro car that I took to SUTTONS-ROSEBERY about 6 weeks back.
First they told me that the module needs to be changed which costed me $1700
Happily paid to get the car fixed but when I went there to pick up the car I saw that the problem is still there. I explain the person there and he said “BECAUSE THEY CHANGED THE MODULE IT WOULD TAKE BIT OF TIME TO WORK PERFECTLY” which I didn’t drive the car for a while.
