Was directed to this repairer from Budget Direct to repair the damage on my vehicle, turned out to be horrible. The painting on the door was repainted however it got a lot of small/tiny dints/sctaches to the painting which I believe due to careless handling of it. Requsted to due with this problem but was refused. The scratch of painting below the door was not repaired at all and they told me it needs to be confirmed with the insurance company. The panel on the dashboard inside the car was not installed, while I was told to ok to collect my car two days ago. When I arrived at the store, after pointed out this problem, the staff just slamed the panel to the position which is not properly secured at all, still a bit losy but he says this is it. The front lights shield was damaged after the repairing and the staff said it was not them did it, so its not their responsibility to repair it. However it was not damaged before leave the car to them. Very disappointing. Also noticed they ...read more
I have sent in my car for minor repairs on 30 April 2015 and was supposed to pick up on 13 May. The car was not ready yet and I was informed that they ordered the wrong roof. As my car insurance company only paid for the 14 days car rental and it was Swains' fault resulting in the delay, I requested Swains to pay for the car rental and they rejected my request. I ended up paying an extra week of car rental (~$400) however it was still not ready on 21 May. When I called to find out I was told that the roof was delivered but damaged and will be ready on 29 May. This time I demanded them to pay for my car rental and they did. The rental car was dodgy; the electric window and car charging port are both not working and the brake seemed to be quite insensitive. I was also not provided with the rental car address, and the receptionist Sharna, could only provide the car rental company and the phone number. In both occasions when the car collection were delayed, I have ...read more
I went to Swains to get quote for repairs to my door, as it was hit by another car. Upon assessing, I made comments to Swains vehicle inspector that along with the dint and paint work needed, I've noticed the door is pushed in further than the other side, possible from impact, and that it feels heavier to open and close since accident. Anyway the reply was nothing short of arrogant, with "it's a Hyundai, cheap car, what do you expect". I'd never give them the business, even if they'd somehow got the insurers' preferred repairer tag
Recently took my car in for some paint n panel 11 days later upon pick up - my car is un drive-able with severe auto gearbox failure. All liability has been denied and has been labeled as a co-incidence. No effort has been made to rectify the problem as part of duty of care. This is my experience so far - be warned!!
in regards to the above review, a Holden dealership & automatic transmission specialist all agree this is wear & tear & all automatic transmissions should be serviced on regular basis.
