Swampdog fish and chips

I have driven past this place oh so many times with the intention of dropping in but unfortunately it is located at the far end of Southbank so parking sucks. Dispite the challenges I have finally made it and it is well worth the trip. Fish was fresh and the chips rocked. Give it a go!

This cafe says that it is redefining the concept of fish and chips, and I must say that they have succeeded. I first discovered this place as I was walking to church and saw this really cool outdoor area so I decided to make a point of having a meal here, and all I can say is that I am so glad I did. The staff were exceptionally friendly and their chips where nothing short of awesome. My brother ended up having the fish bites and he loved then. Mind you this is not your standard fish and chip shop, and if anything I would suggest that they have turned it into an art form. This is defindately one of those trendy places, particularly since they have a chess board set up for those who are included to have a play while they have having a meal. I have no problem in recommending others come here if they are looking for some fish & chips.

The grilled fish can be a bit oily so recommend asking them not to put the pesto on top. However, the staff are really friendly and its a great chilled out atmosphere
