Absolutely mortified with a particular taxi driver's behaviour this morning at Perth Airport. Meter broken, extremely rude, worst customer service I've ever experienced. Spoke in another language and he was very intimidating. I told him where I wanted to go and he had no idea where it was and proceeded to tell me I was a stupid woman when I pulled out the piece of paper with the address. I said that I was not comfortable and I wanted to get out and go with another driver so then he yelled at me telling me to get out and yelling out to his other foreign drivers in another language other than English. Disgusting!
I rang Swan Taxi's today - during business hours, at around 11am, requesting to speak to an officer in regard to the poor behaviour of a TriColor Taxi driver yesterday (who operate under the Swan Taxi Network). I got redirected to an automated response, which gave me a web address where I'd have to leave my personal details before speaking to anybody. I don't feel secure about doing so, so it ended there. You can do your own research and quickly find out what other Taxi companies in Perth belong to Swan. I'll certainly not be sending any business their way.
My friend and I were picked up at separate addresses during the morning for mutual care. We are both war vets ninety years of age. The pickup went well and we were dropped at Glendalough Station for our journey South. When we returned I informed the dispatcher that we were ready to be picked up and in quick time the taxi arrived. We boarded, only to be told that he was only picking up one passenger. After a ten minute argument/discussion with the dispatcher my 90 year old one-legged war vet had to get out and wait on his own for fifteen minutes for another taxi. The same day, Taxi companies were protesting about Uber in the local paper.
