Swatch

I took my Longines watch to Swatch Melbourne on 26/11/20 to have the battery replaced. This is a very simple 5 to 10 minute procedure that can be done while a customer waits. But no, I was told I would have to leave the watch for up to two weeks. I asked if they could recommend anyone else who could do the job. However I was told they did not recommend any others. This is despite the fact that there are other watch repairers that do repairs on Longines watches and other brands handled by Swatch, and that Swatch supply them with the required parts. This was simply a case that Swatch would not offer assistance to me. They have no concept of what customer service means. Sure they may have had a backlog of watches needing extensive service. But you just don’t keep a customer waiting weeks for a simple job taking a few minutes. You make the time to fit it in. Well this story had a happy ending.
