'A passion to create the ultimate chocolate chip cookie' sparked the company that now employs over 100 dedicated staff, supplying hundreds of cafes, hospitals, department stores and hotels around Australia.
Developed in 1990, our cookie range was first produced in a home kitchen in inner suburban Melbourne. The founder of Sweet by Nature, Megan Misso, was on an endless search for the perfect cookie, when a friend suggested baking a batch for a local Fitzroy cafe. The batch sold out on the first day, and the company was born. When a chance to supply a prestigious department Megan dreamed up a range of cookie ideas and some cakes; presenting them with a sample of her chocolate chip cookie to the buyer. The buyer booked in an appointment but requested samples of the whole range. After a frantic week of developing and baking, Megan presented her fledging range to the buyer. They took the full range and the company took off.
The Sweet by Nature Kitchen is a factory direct cafe for Sweet by Nature, a cake manufacturer that has been producing amazing cakes and biscuits for foodservice customers for nearly 20 years.
All of our cakes are handmade using only natural premium quality ingredients such as fresh dairy cream, fresh fruits and unsalted butter. Selling a selection of cafe lines, a huge range of cakes (of course), as well as wedding cakes, christening cakes, spectacular novelty cakes and catering available. We have a children's play area and free meeting rooms available to our customers.

I don't even have a sweet tooth but I adore the Sweet by Nature cakes! The toblerone cheesecake is to die for and you haven't had a red velvet cup cake until you have had one f theirs. I love when I see their cakes in any Cafe, yes I know what they all look like lol Yum Yum Yum
At Sweet By Nature it never costs me much to rest my feet and also purchase a sneaky sweet treat!
After discovering the business by working in the area, I now make a special trip across town for the fabulous, freshly brewed coffee and to admire the beautiful cakes!
Even when I sometimes cannot afford to buy one, I can still treat myself from the display of bargains that might not look perfect, but when I close my eyes, there is no difference because the taste is always 'naturally' sublime!
These guys do the best. cakes. ever. Seriously don't go anywhere else when I have a birthday or a dinner. The rocky road fudge, Caramel macadamia cheesecakes and the lemon meringue OMG!! All their stuff actually tastes like it was made from scratch.
They've got a cafe attached to it too and this place is my go to breakfast spot before work, I always get the smashed avo on toast with poached eggs YUM! So fresh and delish. The staff are always so cheerful and happy and the music is great. Love love love.
