Swimways Swim School - Hurstville

While a tad on the expensive side for entry, the facilities are very well maintained. I've also had swimming lessons there when I was much younger and have used the gym on the odd occasion. Plenty of parking available- however it does get crowded after kids get picked up from school.

Facility-wise, the aquatic centre is state-of-the-art. It has several pool areas: a smaller heated teaching pool for younger children, a 10-lane 25-metre pool for competent swimmers and a very large family play pool. It also has a water slide (not always open), several spas, a sauna room and a cafe. There are three family changing room as well. All-in-all, a pretty decent place to come for a swim! The pool building adjoins both a gym (which I know little about) and the newly-completed Johnny Warren stadium which is quite large (over 9 badminton courts). The pool itself has a swimming school, which is Swimways. Quality of instruction is pot-luck depending on who you get. Administration is likewise. The school does book out most of the teaching and 25-metre pools at various times of the day.

good for toddlers...with warm water...shallow water. not too crowded most times. could do with a better cafe though
