They've glammed the place up (ever so slightly). Still a good afterwork meeting place to consume booze. They have a micro brewery on site, and proudly sell their makings on tap - good drop too - but I really take exception to the fermenting yeast and malt smell that assaults your senses out the back of the pub. Luckily it's only most noticeable when you're going to the toilet downstairs. And then, well, it's better than other smells emanating from there isn't it?
An okay bar located on a corner in Surry Hills. Walking into this pub has an awful damp smell to it. I'm assuming it comes from the beer that they 'make' on site? We went there for lunch and the food could be much better for a pub meal. If your looking for cheap drinks look out for there happy hour drinks, something like $2.50 for a vodka. You'll be drunk in no time!
