Located along Circular Quay, this restaurant is right by the water with views of the Harbour Bridge across the water & Opera House further in front. It is busy even at lunch time with a lot of tourists both local and international. I felt as if I were one of them being on vacation having lunch here on a weekday. There is an extensive wine list which is perfect when you have an afternoon to enjoy and not rush. The menu is seafood focused with a good range of choices. Starters of scallops & grilled scampi with lemon & herb butter were both delicious. But the scallops with pork belly was so good & the favourite. For mains, it was a platter of fresh & oysters and prawns & a whole flounder that was ordered. The seafood were all fresh and simply prepared. It was good quality, sweet and delicious but nothing fancy. Service was friendly and efficient. It was an enjoyable experience & slightly indulgent for a weekday lunch!
I love this little place. A nice treat if you have something to celebrate or a lovely way to just take in the Sydney harbour views. The food is amazing, some of the freshest seafood I have had in Sydney. All accented by the view. Try and get a table right by the water and enjoy a glass of bubbles over a lunch of seafood and freshly shucked oysters
When one thinks of 'circular quay', one thinks 'expensive'. This isn't necessarily so - though I didn't touch the seafood here, the rest of the menu is reasonably priced, especially with their specials menu. And the view has to be worth it alone. Good sized portions, and drinks weren't too over the top.
We went here with my parents who live interstate (have been here many times - a Sydney favourite!) and it was wonderful. A manificent day, we had a table right next to the water. Excellent wine and great oysters. The only flaw was the service which I often find is less than acceptable. I guess it's because they are often so busy.
