Sydney Surf School

Despite living in one of the worlds best know beach cities, it was only over the weekend that I tried my hand at surfing for the first time.

I am a novice not only on the board but in the surf, but the staff were fabulous, not only at teaching our group of 30 how to surf but extremely patient in assisting us even if it meant being wiped out by the odd stray board or careless rider!

The class ran for two hours and there were enough professionals on hand that all the students got some one on one time which is crucial when learning all the tricks and skills of surfing, and if you want a more personal service they do book for private groups of 6 or more people.

It was a fantastic way to spend a Sunday morning however be prepared for some aching muscles the next day!

The instructors are fantastic, I stood up on the first go and have been addicted ever since!

Excellent. Taught me the basics to stand up, paddle and duck dive. 20 years on I'm surfing like a pro and still learning, yes still learning! Very grateful to these wonderful instructors.
