Sydney University Sports & Aquatic Centre

Had a membership at the gym here - was not impressed. The gym room is downstairs and feels quite hidden and dingy.

The following feedback is specific to the Swim School. Please read on as I hope this review will inform future students of the swim school to consider.

I am a current student in their swim school. I go for evening lessons once a week after work. Unfortunately on Tuesday 21 March 2017, there was extreme thunderstorms that striked Sydney. Commuters heading home in the rush hour were all affected. Trees uprooted, road accidents, flash floods, train stations shut - the roads were chaos. Google it and you will see numerous articles and videos of taht evening. A journey to the school that would normally take me 30 min took me 1h 15 min. Took daughter here recently for a netball clinic. Staff were great and price was fair and a lot of attention was paid to security which is nice to see when you're dealing with young children. Child left very happy but exhausted so I'm happy !

The tennis courts are well located and easy to get to if you live in Newtown. The sports centre is great, in that it has a gym, pool, squash and tennis courts. However, I find the tennis courts over priced. The courts need to have a dividing and higher fences, so less balls are lost and interupt other peoples game.
