With so many pretend Japanese restaurants in Brisbane run by Chinese, It's a pleasure to enjoy authentic Japanese food in a pleasant environment. The sashimi is fresh and well presented. The gyouza pork dumplings and taco-yaki (octopus balls) were delicious. All tempura and cold noodles (somen) were delicious. Many japanese style sweet curry dishes to choose from. On tap is Sapporo beer which comes at a premium price. Staff are polite and the outside or inside dining areas are pleasant. I would recommend Taiko to experience real Japanese food.
