Who is the trainer? Dean Holland brings 20 years' experience in photography and a PhD in adult learning. He's an author in 3 books related to adult learning, and has run hundreds of workshops in 7 countries in 2 languages. He keeps it fun and witty.

I cannot recommend Dean Holland's beginners courses in photography highly enough! I learned so much in a few short hours and find that my camera can do far more than I realised, and also what features are important for me to look for in my next camera. The classes are fun, informative and my photos are already better! I did both the travel and landscape photography and capturing joy courses - if you have somewhere or someone worth taking photos of you MUST do these courses to have the best images for prosperity. (And there is a 12 month return as many times as you like offer with each course which is great so if you want a refresher once you start putting what you learn into practice).
Having Just complete the Advanced workshop for the 2nd time I can't say enough about how fantastic Dean is as a teacher. Thing are kept simple enough for everyone to understand but the resluts are nothing short of amazing. I have learnt to take professional looking photo's with my basic equipment. I even have people asking to buy copies of my photo's after family events! Thank you ever so much for sharing your knowledge.

Your courses are well planned out, the cheat cards and booklets are fantastic resources but the best thing is your enthusiasm which is highly contagious. My photography has been taken to a new level. I explained to Dean i was "Technically Challenged" : no worries I was handed a set of "cheat" cards for MY camera in plain english.. If I got nothing else I would have been happy, but there was so many more tips and advice given to us. Dean is so approachable and a great teacher. Book in now you wont be disappointed!!
These courses are invaluable if you want to give your photos more character and impact. Dean is so down-to-earth, makes things easy to understand with superb illustrations, and does it all with a solid injection of humour. I came away with a lot of excellent advice and a huge boost of enthusiasm for photography. I can't recommend Take Better Photos highly enough!
