Tambo Caravan Park
Tambo Caravan Park is a small owner park with drive through powered sites and free laundry. It is reasonably close to shops in one Central Queensland's friendliest Towns, Tambo. The grassy, shady van and camp sites lookout over the open Mitchell grass plains where often kangaroo's or emus can be seen in the evenings. Pets under control are welcome. If you stay two nights, your third will be free. Take a bit of time to relax and discover what their small town is all about.Walk around town on the Heritage Trail or close to town on the Coolibah Trail on the Barcoo River. A 320 kilometre round trip will lead to the Salvator Rosa section of Carnarvon Gorge National Park. All are welcome to join the locals in a game of tennis, golf or bowls.Tambo leaves a good drive to Longreach and the rest of the Central West's unique attractions, being on the Matilda Highway.
