Tangalooma Island Resort
Brisbane's Island GetawayTangalooma Island Resort, in the heart of Moreton Bay marine and national parks, is surrounded by crystal clear waters and sub-tropical rainforest. Only a short cruise from Brisbane, adventure seekers, or those who prefer nature-based experiences, can find everything they are looking for.
Moreton Island is the third largest sand island in the world. With more than 70 activities on offer, every day is different and full of new and exciting adventures. Guests can sand toboggan down 70-metre slopes on the Desert Safari Tour, take to the dunes on an ATV Quad Bike Tour or ride the waves on a jet ski. And for a bird's eye perspective on this slice of paradise, there's always the thrill of a parasail or helicopter flight.
But the real highlight of any stay at Tangalooma is the chance to interact closely with the marine wildlife of Moreton Bay.
Each evening is a chance to get to know the wild pod of bottlenose dolphins that swim to the shore and play and socialise together. Here guests wade into the water and hand feed the dolphins under the skillful eye of the resort's dolphin care team.
From June through to October, visitors venture to the northern tip of the island aboard Tangalooma's catamaran for lunch and a guided afternoon of whale watching. Thousands of whales pass the island on their annual migration to tropical waters.
The range of accommodation at the resort suits a variety of guests with traditional hotel facilities, luxury beach front units and island holiday homes all available.
Dining options include Tursiops Buffet Restaurant, The Beach House Rotunda a la carte dining, which features fresh local produce and seafood, as well as international cuisine.
Tangalooma's high-speed catamarans depart daily from Brisbane's Holt Street Wharf at Pinkenba. The wharf is a 15-minute drive from the CBD and 10 minutes from Brisbane Airport.

They booked us on the wrong package and then flat out refused to change it once we were there. EVEN THOUGH they admitted to this mistake, management reserves the right to offer O refund. READ THE TERMS and condition. NO CANCELLATION POLICY (even if you cancel and want to leave half way through your stay, they will keep 100% of your money.)
This was out honeymoon and because of Terrible service from 4 individual staff members. we had a terrible time. Do not go to this horrible place, if you must go to moreton (which is one of more boring islands in my oppinion) bring a tent and camp. The resort only cares about taking your money. Nothing is provided as part of your stay, they don't even give you proper bathroom stuff to wash yourself!
O stars for value 0 stars for service 2 stars for location.. complete ripp off!
