My most recent visit led me to the discovery that this place is owned by the same people as kintaro. Which makes sense because I love both these places!
This place is much for casual, you sit on little box chairs and there is nothing flash, in fact it is quite a humble place. The toilets a little run down and are outside and it can be a little cold getting there in winter.
The Takoyaki here is pretty good, and I admit this casual Japanese restaurant is our 'go to' for a fun casual night out.
The staff are super friendly and it is very family friendly.
Just discovered the Tanpopo salmon carpaccio and believe this is one of the best dishes here. Thin slices of fresh salmon sashimi with a special tangy vinaigrette dressing with capers.
It is such a great dish we will be ordering it every time we come here, which is quite often!
Love this place!
A casual Japanese restaurant with little wooden boxes for seats. We came here because we often see it busy and a line of people waiting outside.
We walked in and sat down at around 6pm, within. 15 mins the place was full.
We ordered some aburi sushi, volcano roll and sashimi.
The food came out quickly, what was kind nice was all the sushi and sashimi came out on one giant plate and was presented really nicely.
The karage chicken was fried nicely and the portion was generous. It was a great meal and we will definitely be back.
