Tapeo Cafe and Tapas Wine Bar

It was a lovely day out and great weather to have a nice brunch. This cafe was buzzing with people enjoying the warm sunshine outside. There is indoor seating but no one was using it. The service was very friendly and quick to serve you. The menus had seen better days though.

I had the Eggs Benedict as love poached eggs with hollandaise sauce. This one came with a twist and was served with pulled pork and apple. Although the pork was well cooked, the concept was better than the execution. The pork needed more flavour and the apple didn't lend any sweetness to the dish as it was poached in champagne. I also had The Retox which had cold drip coffee, bananas, and ice cream. This was a delicious blend and hit the spot.

Overall it's a nice place for a meal but could've done with slightly better execution.

Had a pretty great shakshuka here for brunch one weekeend. Nice place with very friendly staff which made for a good environment. Prices were a bit higher than what I would consider average around the Redfern area but the crowds on weekends would suggest people don't mind that much

The food and staff are good, the location across from Redfern park is great and the Tapeo cafe next door sells all delicious gluten free cakes and bread. I prefer the breakfast and lunch menu to the dinner menu, but I am gluten and dairy free. Prices are resonable. This is my favourite spot for a leisurely coffee and watching the world go by.

Tapas and poached eggs were amazing. Try them if you have the chance. Me, personally, loved the place.
