Taro's Ramen & Cafe

This is our most regular outing these days, we just keep coming back. The tonkotsu ramen is just irresistable; we keep trying new competitors in various places and none are quite of the same standard. Of note, they have a monthly special, always interesting but sometimes outstanding. If you get a chance to try the "bogan ramen" when it comes up again, get in quick! If you're looking for good ramen around Brisbane, there really isn't anywhere better.

My new favourite spot, I've only just tried Ramen recently and I'm in loveeeee. Craving now! I've been a couple of times since and the food has been consistently good. There are plenty of options on the menu and it's cheap at $15-17.

Fantastic ramen! Perfect for that mid winter dinner. The service left a bit to desire unfortunately. It was quite slow, even to just get drinks which was a shame. Great gluten free option of bean noodles for the wheat free (although check the website as they do often cook in same water as wheat noodles so maybe not for the celiac).
Very busy place though serving takeaway also so definitely recommend a booking!
Oh...and try their sake tasting plates - so good!

There is a reason Taros sticks out from the ramen crowd. They have a wide range of options, and each ramen dish can be customised to suit the individual. I have been a number of times now and the quality has been consistently outstanding.

Mmm, delicious pork-broth ramen! Taro's provides a casual dining experience with fantastic food, delivered by respectful and prompt staff. The indoor seating is fairly limited, so if you go it's good to dress for the weather. I'd heartily recommend the gyoza to start, they do it just right!
