Taste of Shanghai

One of the most popular Shanghainese restaurants with good reason. Great food, relatively quick service and considerably affordable pricing. The pan-fried buns were definitely a highlight when I visited.

the place is serve up delicous chinese food. Nothing spicy but delicious dumplings!!!

Delicious Shanghaiese food in the suburb that is king of Shanghaiese food. This place sets itself apart from the others by being a little fancier, with some more creative dishes and upmarket options. This is reflected in the price, which is higher than the rest of the street but still pretty good by Sydney standards. Worth a look.

We came for a weeknight dinner as I was keen to try their Spicy Crab Xiao Long Bao.

The menu is fairly extensive. I was slightly bothered by the fact that I had to pay more for the dishes as a 'non-member'.

Foodwise, the dishes were average to good. The Spicy Crab Xiao Long Bao was not quite the heavenly dumpling that I had imagined. The dumpling skin was a thicker variety and there was just not enough of 'spicy' or 'crab taste' in it.
