Tea Gardens Hotel-Motel

Very crowded but the food was delicious! Quite small servings however for the price. A few flies were buzzing around driving my partner crazy but the venue was lovley.

Food was average. As a fish fanatic, I was surprised to see jewfish on the menu, as it was the first place I encountered with this fish. Since I had no luck catching one and trouble with fishing in the wrong spot, I was eager to try it. However, the batter was tasteless but the fish tasted fresh. The fries and salad were good but in the end, it was just another average pub

Recently stopped here for a lunch when on a road trip.
Enjoyed the coconut prawns for lunch with a glass of wine. However it was pretty hard to keep the batter on the prawn.
There's different dining areas, lounge seating, outdoor tables and the bar area.
Lots of options.
However, it's an older building that could use a bit of a makeover.

Delicious food, the burgers and fish cones are wonderful. The kids had a swim while we waited for our food. Very relaxed dining, great play area and great food, what more do you need?

give the crowded scene of nelson bay and its environs a miss, we have just gotten back from tea gardens and no where else in our travels have we ever found as large and as delicious meals as this place serves but note even in the off season this place gets crowded
