Teds Cycles

I do not recommend this place. Most of the staff are rude, some exceptionally so, althou one is great. Their sexism is astounding. Their superior attitudes are awful. Their workmanship is hit and miss. Twice my bike has been returned in worse shape than before a service and they took no responsibility. I am glad this place is closing so i can get past my misplaced sense of loyalty (to businesses in the West) and I can find somewhere else. Very sad.

Called up reserve a bike to pick up on saturday. I asked to have the tyres changed to a wider tyre. Showed up on saturday only to have the bike to be the wrong fit for me. I also thought that we could have an even wider tyre on the bike due to information i received from another bike shop.

I bought my first road bike here today and found the pricing and service fantastic. They were very honest and accommodating to my needs and even though they're not "around the corner" for me (I live a good 45min away) I would definitely return =D Keep it up Ted's =D

I went in to buy a tube repair kit and a pump and the guy gave me a great lesson on how to repair a tyre and helped me put the tube back in. He also recommended a great, inexpensive pump when he could have convinced me to buy one of the bigger more expensive ones which are completely unnecessary for my tyre type. Lovely service and very helpful!

I am a long term customer of Teds. I have found their prices great for both bikes and parts. But it is their service which I have found exceptional. On numerous occasions they have gone the extra mile to find a substitute part to economically fix a component rather than replace the lot which is so common with repair organisations these days.Trevor at Teds just loves to talk mountain biking and encourage people into mountain biking without any hard sell. That is if you can get hold of him as the low prices and good advice means the shop is always busy. If you are interested in mountain biking in particular this shop is worth a visit. Not fancy but good down to earth value and service.
