Teriyaki Mate

I went there for lunch a couple weeks ago. A staff didn't place an order properly or forgot to do so, I had to wait to 30mins for no food and no apologies from staffs. Also they were too with busy chatting and no care for customers. Just wasted my time, no food and shockingly bad customer service.

Last night, I had a real craving for genuine japanese food and thought I'd give Teriyaki Mate a go as nothing else had tickled my taste buds yet on the Gold Coast area. I've eaten at alot of Japanese resturants, but this is as good as it gets. The food was amazing! The flavours were authentic and the produce was succulent and fresh. The meals were well presented and the service was great. The ambience and decor made the whole experience first class. A must for Japanese food lovers!!!!

This place is amazing! The restaurant is clean and fresh, the interaction with the staff is really positive and fun and the food is probably the best thing you will eat this side of Osaka.
Take my advice this place more popular than the Hello Kitty store in Shinjuku and it packs out quicker then a Sumo's undies so book! Get your chopstick freak on and bust on down to Teriyaki Mate, if you are dissapointed, I'll slice my own tongue off with a samuri sword and serve it up with the flaming volcano on the teppanyaki grill.

I come from Melbourne - capital for eating out and this is definately one of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever been to and one of the best thing about it is that it is affordable plus great quality!! The food is extremely fresh and the staff are really friendly. The alfresco area with teppanyaki grill is my favourite, it is great to be able to sit outside, watch the chef cook, enjoy a fine wine and taste the exquisite authentic japanese food.....who could ask for a better night out!! Highly recommend you try it.
