This butcher shop is absolutely fantastic. The meat is of very high quality and they can never go wrong on the quality. The workers are very kind and are always willing to help. Even though their customer service could improve, the consistent low prices and meat quality makes up for it massively. The Woolworthes next to it has meat too, but have always been of lower quality than this butcher, which is why I don't buy from Woolworthes.
I use this butcher often. The meat is better quality than both the local Safeway and IGA. While they might not be the happiest people to deal with I've usually get a smile from them. If you don't specify which particular peice of meat you want then of course you're getting pot luck, I thought that to be pretty obvious
This has to be one of the most unfriendly butcher shops I've ever visited. Often they are selling B-grade meats and trying to disguise it as A-Grade. I now know for a fact that they often deliberately put A-grade cuts of meat at the front of the trays to sucker you in, but then quickly fill your shopping bag with B-grade cuts that are hidden behind. See the other review here complaining about the same thing, very strange :-) #reviewtowin
Just moved into the neighbourhood and went shopping in Blackburn north shopping centre. I passed by TG quality butcher (the only butcher in the centre) and saw that the meats on the top of the tray in the display look good. When I ordered, they took the meat from the bottom of the trays. Did not pay much attention to it, when I got home, I noticed the cuts were bad, eg. very fatty and some are massive bones and little meat. Would not recommend the shop. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
Hello, I originally read this review about 5 months ago and at first thought maybe you were just being pedantic, but I also like quality meats so I often ask butchers to give me particular pieces from the trays that look leaner. I had forgotten about your review and just recently I was at TG Butchers Blackburn Nth and wanted some lamb leg chops, I asked them to, "please give me those ones at the front;" the ones at the front were clearly leaner. The guy then proceeded to put fattier chops from the back into a plastic bag so I repeated, "please can I have those 3-4 from the front." He refused to give me the ones at the front saying, "no I can't reach that far down." I turned to the older guy at the back hoping he would help me but he also just shook his head saying, "no we can't give you those." They then kind of mumbled something else in their language and seemed to be patronising me and laughing. Very odd, they are obviously doing this deliberately.
