TGI Friday's

I’ve been to several TGIF restaurants overseas but this was my first visit to TGIF in Australia.
The place is quite spacious with large and eye catching bar in the middle of the room.
On this visit I tried their ‘limited time only’ ultimate smoked bbq ribs and one of their signature dish: Jack Daniel’s burger. The ribs are good and I love the smoky taste from the ribs.
The burger is even better. The Cajun onion rings inside the burger are so crispy! The burger patties are thick and I love the Jack Daniel’s glaze. It’s sweet and sticky delicious. Their Oreos thick shakes is quite indulgent and the coffee is pretty good too.

I found this similar to the ones I went to in America, but I wouldn't rave about either of them. The food is served in ginormous portions and is super saucy (which is great in my opinion as I love that). But the overall quality of food is above average at best. The Jack Daniel's burger I had was pretty good, particularly because it was SUPER SAUCY! But I wouldn't make a special trip out here.

Went to a TGIF in Scotland and was really happy with it.
This franchise is okay. Not bad. Our waiter was great..think he was a student from overseas...
However..one of the initial wait staff that seated us was really weird.
She wanted to help us take our pram upstairs via the stairs !! There was only 3 other small groups in the massive restaurant and she seemed to want us out of sight.
Our party which had one child was very well behaved..and they have high chairs.. so not sure what the issue was.
The food is ok for the price you pay.

I think this is a great place to take a group of friends on a casual night out. You definitely go here for the atmosphere and just because you know there will be something available for everyone no matter the size of your group. Food and service is average.

There was a lot of hype for this place since it arrived in Australia, but evidently it's not the same experience as it would be in America. Unfortunately, it's rather over-priced, not the best quality and service is slow!
