Everything plated here is exceptionally good but be very sure to insist if you don't like chilli - 'mild' dishes here can be so much more than that! This quaint, family-run licensed restaurant is popular with people of all nationalities. I've eaten here on several occasions over the years, in the garden and on the ground and first floor levels, and while the garden can be noisy from the hectic four laned road it sits on, the atmosphere is cheerful enough for small groups and even intimate enough for couples. The garden and the restaurant downstairs are a little jaded and in need of an upgrade but you know you're in a restaurant, as opposed to a cafe. An ample meal for two and a couple of alchoholic drinks each will set you back around $70.00, leaving you feeling sated and more than happy to leave a nice tip for the perpetually charming wait-staff.
The ambience is very lovely. It was once a cottage and even though it has been made into a restaurant, you can still see the evidence of its old structure and it just adds a really nice homely feel to it. Entering the front door is like entering the front door of a cottage. The food was delicious. Only criticism I would have is that the menu's need to be more explanatory. I had to ask the wait staff questions that I wouldn't have to at other restaurants, simply because the menu was confusing and not as informative as it could have been. Little things like this do waste the wait staff time. My dish came out delicious, however the portions were not as big. I didn't leave hungry but I didn't have that stuffed feeling that I do at other thai restaurants. I guess you should have entree+main+dessert to achieve that stuffed feeling. Overall it was quite nice.
