The only reason I've taken off half a star is because the crispy tofu wasn't very nice. It was soggy on the outside and sloppy in the middle. However, we were getting take away, so perhaps it would have been nicer straight from the kitchen.
But other than the tofu, we had the best Thai food I've ever eaten!! So so delicious. The vegetable spring rolls, pumpkin fritters and pad Thai were to die for!!! Prices reasonable as well.
The best Thai food this side of town. Pad Met Mamuang & Beef Massaman are both beyond tasty. As are the garlic prawns. Just heavenly!
Great spot to come for a quick bite on the way home, or before seeing a movie at Westgarth cinema a couple of shops up. They offer take away, but I find the food always tastes so much better right out of the kitchen.
Wine list could be better, but you really only want a nice cold Singa beer with Thai food anyway. Prices are still reasonable also.
If you want a laugh, check out the 'soft crab salad' on the menu. It said something else before they corrected it with a pen. Always makes me giggle :)
You're in for a treat as soon as you walk through the door of Thai Spoon. Decor, ambience and service are all first rate but it's the outstanding quality of the food that will keep you coming back.
Authentic delicious curries and mouth-watering stir fries along with many other choices make up this wonderful menu. The beef Massaman is a definite standout and their Tom Yum soup is spot on. Only the finest cuts of meat are used here which complement the sauces beautifully.
Extended opening hours will suit those wishing to dine at a later hour. Located in the colourful Westgarth precinct and only steps away from the Westgarth cinema, this place is a must.
