Thanon Khaosan (City)

Have walked past this Thai restaurant many a time and stopped by today on a whim to buy dessert. It was so difficult to decide from all the delicacies displayed in the street cart! Sticky mango rice, Thai puddings, coconut and pandan jelly, plus many other interesting things I didn't recognise. The layered green coconut jelly I ended up getting is subtly sweet and salty.

The place is busy but not loud, so my partner and I were able to enjoy a nice dinner without too much hassle.
We did have to ask the staff to come a few times – but other than that the experience was great.
Food was great. We had Pad Thai, which was standard to other Thai places.
But I love the decor of the rickshaw at the front - and all the fresh Thai sweets they sell. I feel like I'm in a hawker lane in Thailand!

My Mum and I had been to this restaurant before and were very impressed so my brother and I took her there for a surprise on Mother's Day.
We spent over 2hrs in the restaurant. The food is outstanding, full of flavour, served hot and comes out VERY quickly. The waitresses were very friendly and fast to serve us. We are all looking forward to going back.

This place was buzzing when we got there. Service tonight was quick and friendly.

We had fried noodles with beef, papaya salad with steamed white rice. Although they gave me the incorrect papaya salad, it was still very delicious I just ate it up - no complaint!

Desserts are as good as ever although many of the popular items were already sold out when we arrived at 8pm.

The food here is fabulous, taste just like in Thailand. Price is a bit steep.

Love this restaurant! Their Thai salads are just like in Thailand; fresh, fishy, sweet, tangy, salty and spicy. This is the only Thai restaurant I know that serves raw crab and papaya salad with enough heat. However, I do find their curries a bit too sweet with too much coconut cream in it for my liking. Never mind the slightly smaller serving portions because you'll want to save plenty of room for desserts! Their Thai desserts are the best!!! Their prices are reasonable and quality is GOOD.
Definitely recommend.
