The 5 Rivers Indian Restaurant
The word "Punjab" is a combination of the Indian words. 'Punj' meaning five and 'Aab' meaning water.

Very disappointed. The new management are refusing to accept the entertainment card, even though their restaurant are clearly in it for the current year. What a great way to run your business... NOT!! We were loyal customers and after the rudeness of your staff over the matter we are more than happy to take our business elsewhere.
This is without doubt the best Indian food in Perth, complimented by friendly service from the owner Sandy & her team. Everything is cooked fresh, the chicken is tender & they only use breast meat, the sauces have spice & good depth of flavour. It is BYO & the decor is fairly basic (so don't expect the Taj Mahal) but the food makes a trip to Woodvale well worth while. Highly recommended if you like a good quality spicy Indian curry.
My favorite indian restaurant thus far.
ive tried looking for a good quality indian restaurant and finally have found one.
went there with my grilfriend and had butter chicken and veg jalfrezie. they were both fresh, outstangind quality and superb taste. the butter chicken was to die for, it wasnt too tomatoey or too creamy but was subtley tangy, smooth and creamy.
the chicken was chicken breast and the naan was nice, crisp and fluffy like it should be.
they obviously have a charcoal tandoor. i cant wait to go back to try their tandoori menue!
The customer service truly brought this place down for me. I went there for a small meal with a friend. As we were ordering we never got asked if we wished to dine in or take away, and we never said we wanted take away as we thought it was implied we were dining in. So we sat own at a table to have dinner. We didn't get offered any water to drink, which I found rude. A while later we got handed our meal in a plastic bag. We thought this odd, as was obvious from our shocked faces, but we thought we wouldn't make a fuss and started eating. A few minutes later a staff member came up to us and said that they were unaware we wanted to dine in because we didn't tell them (well... we didn't say we wanted take away either). They also said that it doesn't look good if we're not eating off plates. They basically made it sound like it was our fault and that we were the rude and uncultured ones. We left feeling guilty about a mistake THEY made! They also had the ...read more
