Disappointingly, the only Greek dessert on offer at this Greek restaurant was baklava. We settled on the lemon meringue pie ($8.50) and strawberry cheesecake ($9.50). Boyfriend was most crestfallen when his lemon meringue pie arrived without the advertised ice cream. It also had a soggy base ... suggesting it had been around a bit too long. My strawberry cheesecake was average, essentially a New-York style cheesecake with strawberry toppings.
Acropole has the potential to seat 100 people with its rows of booth-style seating. However, a spacious but nearly empty restaurant detracts from the overall atmosphere. The service felt a bit strained and stressed despite not being busy.
A disappointing dessert experience at this local landmark.
