Had my work Xmas party at The Arcadia hotel and and was bitterly disappointed. The rooftop room was great, big space and nice views. However when we got there all the tables and chairs for a bistro dinner were all out. I was promised these would all be gone and we would just have a few tables around as we wanted a cocktail function. So when people were arriving they moved the chairs and tables.....The main kitchen is also up at the rooftop so all night waiters were carrying food from our venue to the patrons down stairs! Matters got worse at about 10pm when the management had asked our DJ to turn the music down! When our party was getting started and dancing was beginning DJ put the music up again to be told by the "Management" to again put it down.
I will never get back.....so warning to all...DO NOT have any type of function at The Arcadia Hotel South Yarra
