The Armstrong Street Food Store

Best and tasty street foods are found here at The Amstrong's. Veggies were so crisp and i couldn't take only a small bite because of its delicious taste.

I have heard from quite a few people that it's a great place for lunch so went there recently with a friend. She had a vegetarian spinach ball with salad and I had the toasted chicken sandwich which was the special for the day and highly recommended by the manager. Very disappointing went it arrived as the sandwich was on white bread with an extremely sweet chutney (tasted more like jam) and tasteless pieces of deli chicken. I was imagining a really tasty sandwich overflowing with yummy chutney etc and it was extremely boring, way too sweet with bland deli meat. It was so average (im really not trying to be dramatic just honest) that I couldn't eat the sandwich and they didn't even try to make it right by offering me something else and charged me full price! My friend said her veg ball was OK and the salad leaves looked rather tired so overall not impressed and will not return. I was first introduced to the Armstrong Street Food Store when my old manager used to pick morning tea up for us on her way into work. I fell in LOVE with their cakes and had to go there myself. Nestled away in Middle Park next to a cute little wine bar is the unassuming cafe/food store which has an assortment of cakes guaranteed to tantalise your tastebuds. If you're have a bit of a sweet tooth like myself, you can't go past the vanilla slice. While I've often taken cakes away, I've also had the pleasure of eating in and can vouch for the coffee. A great place to pop in on a Sunday afternoon or to pick up some 'homemade' treats when entertaining last-minute visitors. Highly recommended!
